Google search rating monitoring instruments are nonetheless displaying nice volatility

Pretty much all of the tools that automatically track volatility and changes in Google search results are still showing great volatility. It’s unusual because that November core update should be long done and the Product reviews updated in December shouldn’t be that volatile – or at least not at this point.

All of the tools are pretty much at the peak of the core update volatility, but we’re not currently doing a core update and we’re out two weeks after the product review update was first rolled out.

It appears that this spike rose again around December 9th and has not yet cooled off.

In no particular order of a tool, the tools show the following:

The chatter isn’t as crazy as with these tools, there has been chatter, maybe a little more than the normal daily chatter, but not chatter at the core update level.

The ongoing WebmasterWorld Thread and Black Hat world a bit going on, let me share some quotes. On December 9th or so the chatter really started a bit there, but again not insane levels.

Everyone else is still seeing changes. I search and notice different results from minute to minute. Yes, we see garbage traffic. By far one of the worst Thursdays in years. And when you look at the serps, it seems like google is testing how far they can reduce quality until users leave. My traffic today is the worst since I was hit by Penguin in 2012. Absolutely gloomy. Today more than 50% down (UK).

So far my traffic has only been slightly lower than usual (since the core update), but without the conversions – so what happened today?

It looks like this is happening across the board. No traffic or sales for days. If it’s an update, we’ll call it the Grinch Update. Remember, there are no updates, it’s all just rolling AI psychopathic behavior. The billionaires win again, while the little serfs get no shoes for Christmas guv’nor. I’ve noticed that since this update was announced, my US traffic has been hammered 10-15% with traffic not really recovering until 7pm or later. Most of the day in the doldrums. Hardly any new customer inquiries since Thanksgiving weekend. I do think the omicron factor and all the talk about inflation is scarying people. I also lost 6 nice aged links from a high DA website that was active for maybe 15 years. Site redesign … now I get a nofollow link which is useless. I just checked my stats for the past 7 days and my US is within 0.2% of this year’s average! Sure, overall traffic has decreased since it’s this time of year for me. After January 10th, 2022 my real time will be. Yes, the traffic has slipped in the past 2 days. Never had a lower Friday lately and 40% off the Friday of last year at that time. People have asked too and other google widgets bring us together with traditional media publishing articles on every single topic and now ranking for the change of hosting !!

I have redirected an expired domain to counteract this. Let’s see !!

It got hot again since December 9th or so, but it hasn’t cooled at all.

Glenn Gabe shared these charts from websites that were affected by the product reviews update:

Another weekend and more volatility with the December Product Reviews Update (which can take 3 weeks to fully roll out). Many affected locations are moving in the same direction or leveling out, but there are def. Some see a lot of volatility during the rollout. Google was busy 🙂 pic.twitter.com/9YXDdtuSww

Have you noticed any major changes, and if so, are they more related to core updates, product reviews, or something else? Or maybe it’s just the new normal of super volatile Google search results, more than what we have seen over 2021?
