    Enjoy the outdoors

I don’t know about you, but moving from working in the office to being completely remote has kept me no less busy and made my life less stressful – aside from the absence of commutes, of course.

With this in mind, however, it is often difficult to escape everyday life and return to nature. At least that’s what the Nature Valley folks thought when they hired SpokenLayer to do theirs Immersive audio experience “Take in the Outdoors”.

Nature Valley wanted to give consumers the opportunity to immersive themselves in nature, no matter where they are or what time of day they are. With the Nature Valley branding, this experience is SO MUCH MORE than your typical snack bar ad.

It is a interactive experience Use the latest in binaural processing technology to capture the sounds of nature and make you feel like you are standing on a wooded path.

A voice over will guide you on your stroll, and the sounds of woodpeckers in the distance made me turn my head to look for these birds.

With 8-10 minutes per episode, you can escape guilt free in the middle of the day. That is Content marketing in its purest form, Promoting experience for experience’s sake. The Nature Valley brand makes its presence known, but only as a facilitator of this valuable experience.

You can watch this microcast by going to TakeInTheOutdoors.com for a full 360 ° virtual tour of the trail with links to episodes and supporting video content, or by searching for “Nature Valley Take in the Outdoors” wherever You get your podcasts.

Truly an incredible effort well worth your time ESPECIALLY when you need a little break from everyday life.

    wise words

I know it’s tempting, but don’t just jump into content creation. Even looking at social media is purely a tactic. Look at the context. Understand the audience, their pain, their journey. Take a look at what your competition is up to and discover the white areas where you can easily be successful. Diagnosing, developing strategies and (finally) executing them.

Legends of Content Marketing – The Jello Story

Sure, the things we do today are great and innovative, but where did it all start? After all, we didn’t invent these concepts overnight. That’s why we at Rock Tonight want to take a moment to appreciate the people who came before us by talking about some of the Legends of Content Marketing.

Gelatin. The gelatinous confectionery, invented in the 15th century and previously only enjoyed by the elite, actually played a huge role in the history of content marketing.

Pearl Bixby Waite has registered the gelatin dessert as a trademark. Jellowhich he and his wife May 1897 formulated and disseminated.

However, they never found a market for the product as the housewives of the time just didn’t know what to do with it. As a result, Waite sold the Jell-o patent to orator Francis Woodward for $ 450 in 1899.

Although Jell-o was once the dessert of kings, it struggled to break into the market. That is until 1904, as Woodwards Genesee Food Company has published a cookbook, and sent an army of vendors to hand it out door-to-door.

The distributed content showed their customers what is possible with the product and the demand increased dramatically. By 1906, the company’s sales should rise to over $ 1,000,000.

The Jell-O cookbook. A Historic content marketing that raised awareness, Empowered consumers and created an empire. Just another one of our content marketing legends.
