Google Ads Performance Max campaigns obtainable to everybody

Google announced that the Performance Max campaigns that are listed as Beta a year ago, is now available to all advertisers. Google also said they “will also be the next generation of smart shopping and local campaigns, both of which will move to Performance Max over the next year.”

Performance Max is a goal-based campaign type that enables performance advertisers to access their entire Google Ads inventory from a single campaign. It’s designed to complement your keyword-based search campaigns and help you find more converting customers across all of Google’s channels – YouTube, Display, Search, Discover, Gmail and Maps – said Google.

Performance Max campaigns are optimized for the ecommerce, lead generation, or local sales goals you set in Google Ads. Google said, “To make things easier, smart shopping and local campaigns will seamlessly transition to Performance Max campaigns in 2022.” Let’s see how it simplifies things for the better. There will be no migrations in the fourth quarter of this year, so don’t panic.

For more information on maximum performance campaigns, see this help document and the document. Google also posted all of these wonderful case studies on how great Performance Max campaigns are over here.

I like Greg Finn’s reaction:

Performance Max campaigns are rolling out * today * for all advertisers around the world.

also big news:

“They will also be the next generation of smart shopping and local campaigns, both of which will be switched to Performance Max next year.” 👀#ppcchat https://t.co/WGipEYe2H5

Here’s another reaction:

For those who bet they can create compelling, rewarding, standout “first party data” deals, Google just upped the ante a bit. https://t.co/TIdAAqjxDY
