Mozilla Firefox checks Microsoft Bing because the default search engine

Mozilla, the company behind the Firefox browser, is testing the default search engine setting on Microsoft Bing for 1% of its users. Mozilla said on September 6, 2021 that 1% of desktop users will experiment with Bing as the default search engine. The study will last until early 2022 and is expected to be completed by the end of January.

This message comes from GHacks.net where they said, “Mozilla is currently conducting an experiment with 1% of the Firefox desktop population that sets the default search engine to Bing in the web browser.”

In 2020, Google has renewed his search contract with Mozilla as the default search provider for another three years. Then why should Mozilla test Firefox as the default for 1% of its users? Well, it makes sense for Mozilla to test things out under the agreement with Google. Who knows what the future holds for the organization.

The Mozilla team sent These news:
