Google says it could actually deal with actually lengthy HTML sizes

Google’s John Mueller said on Twitter When it comes to really long HTML file sizes, Google can handle it – and you shouldn’t worry. The question came up when someone shared a screenshot from Bing Webmaster Tools indicating that the HTML size is too long.

The SEO asked: “Is there a limit on Google for crawling long pages – Bing marks some of our long posts as HTML size is too long?” Google has a limit, but most sites don’t hit that limit.

John replied, “We don’t have a documented limit, the last time I saw someone check it was MB 10s-100s so I wouldn’t worry about that.” John added that this could affect your page speed and key web vitals metrics. He said, “Huge HTML pages slow things down, so it’s probably still something to keep on your to-do list.”

Here is a screenshot of the Bing Webmaster Tools Notice. This is an indication and does not mean that Bing cannot handle it.
