Google just isn’t indexing or crawling any new content material this morning

It seems like Google has a major indexing or crawling problem this morning – again. Google doesn’t seem to have added any new content in the last hour or two. You can see that sites like the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and niche publishers like TechCrunch and The Verge don’t see their newly published content in Google search results.

Update: Google appeared to have a two-hour problem with no new content indexing between approximately 4:30 a.m. ET and 6:30 a.m. ET on December 16, 2021. The problem now seems to be resolved – Google has not yet commented, we will update this story when we hear again.

Here are some screenshots of how, over the past hour, I ran a site command asking Google to show me new content from these four popular and frequently updated sites. You can click any of these screenshots to enlarge them:

It seems that these issues started happening at least an hour ago, but probably longer:

I haven’t seen a response from Google yet.

So, if you’re having indexing issues and your new content isn’t currently showing up in Google Search, you are not alone.

Google had indexing or display issues in June 2020 what was a confirmed crawling problem and in May 2020, April 2020, we saw it several times last year several cases from this last year but could be one this year who wasn’t meant seriously.

I was wondering how long it will take for this content to show up in Google Search.

Update: About 2 hours after this problem started, Google seems to be showing new content again:

And it took more than 30 seconds to record this story, but after Google manually requested indexing, Google is now showing it in search results.
