YouTube Provides Option to Reuse Details from Earlier Videos to Streamline Uploads, New Cell Analytics

That might come in handy – YouTube has today added a new option in YouTube Studio This allows users to reuse details from previous uploads for new uploads within the posting process on the desktop.

As you can see here, the new option allows you to reuse:

  • Video title
  • Video description
  • language settings
  • Shorts Sampling Permissions
  • Category selection

This could save you a lot of time, especially for those who regularly post on the same topics or have to manually enter language options each time a new post is made.

Of course, you probably won’t upload many videos with the exact same title and description, but copying the details will allow you to quickly edit those details for similar content without having to re-enter the same information for every video in a series.

You can access the new option in the “Details” section of the upload flow, with a new “Reuse Details” option above the title field.

Process for uploading YouTube videos

It’s actually pretty similar to what YouTube does Upload default settings Option that allows you to apply the same settings to each of your clips. However, this new twist offers more control as you can use different settings for each clip, while being able to adjust your selections each time you upload.

YouTube announced the update with a number of new optimizations, including an updated Memberships tab in YouTube Studio and the addition of more analytics previously only available on the desktop to the mobile app.

As you can see in these screenshots, users can now access their call performance for the last 28 days, weekly viewing performance, and monthly performance statistics in the app.

The update is part of the platform’s ongoing efforts to put desktop and mobile apps on par, with all features eventually being accessible on the go.

And while they may not be breakthrough updates as such, they can provide significant benefits for those working to maximize their YouTube performance and uploading regularly.
