Insomnia Cookies is coming to Conway near Coastal Carolina University, according to the company.

Coastal Carolina University students up late studying, ahem, will soon be able to treat themselves to delectable cookies, ice cream, and combinations of the two from a new business.

Insomnia Cookies is coming to Conway to deliver cookies and ice cream throughout the day and late night to CCU students and others in the college’s vicinity.

“I can confirm that an Insomnia Cookies is coming to Conway this spring. . . . We are so excited to be serving warm delicious cookies in Conway very soon,” said Sarah Schwab, Insomnia Cookies director of marketing, who did not offer further information on a possible opening date.

The Insomnia Cookies website lists the new store’s address as 201 Graduate Road, which is in the University Commons shopping plaza across U.S. 501 from the main CCU campus and the primary Horry-Georgetown Technical College campus.

Insomnia Cookies has numerous warm cookie, brownie and cookie cake varieties available, including gluten-free and vegan options, as well as several ice cream flavors including sweet and salty pretzel, strawberry cheesecake, butter pecan and moosetracks. Ice cream toppings such as brownie bites, cookie dough, and chopped Snickers, M&Ms or Reese’s Pieces are also offered, as are ice cream cookie sandwiches.

Insomnia Cookies, which is based in Pennsylvania, strategically opens locations near college campuses.

“The decision to open in various college towns and cities is made after much research and deliberation,” said a company customer service representative in a Facebook message.

Business hours are listed seven days per week, and are extended as late as 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, with both pickup and delivery available.
