The greatest Bluescape Digital Whiteboard Updates of 2021

In early 2021, we committed to improving our product and features, and building the best secure and collaborative whiteboard Experience for everyone. This year we can say with confidence that we have kept this promise – thanks to the innovative and constructive feedback that you have given us along the way.

Before we start into 2022, it’s important to think about how far we’ve come together, what work we’ve done to deliver on our promise, and what direction we want to take. So look back with us on the achievements that we have achieved together this year!

1. Progress towards better collaboration

Many companies have one more flexible working environment where the team members have become even more dispersed. For this reason, we have focused on further developing Bluescape’s collaboration tools.

Some features to highlight are:

Bluescape meetings

• Native voice and video conferencing with dial-in options
• Meet your team virtually or invite guests from anywhere in the world to a meeting
• Hold scheduled and ad hoc meetings right in one workspace
• Record the audio of your meeting to play back later so you don’t miss a thing

The Bluescape app

• Download the Bluescape Mobile App and collaborate on the go
• Use touch tools like the Apple Pencil for a seamless drawing experience – just like pen on paper
• Upload images to a workspace directly from your device

Emojis / reactions

• Use emojis to express praise and make quick decisions
• They are great for querying and getting feedback

More collaboration tools

• Shared Cursors – Show everyone’s cursors in a workspace to enhance real-time work sessions.
• Timers – You can set individual or team timers with audible alarms to keep tasks on track and get meetings to run on time.

2. Improvements for creation

Creativity comes to life in Bluescape.

We’ve made major improvements to Bluescape’s authoring tools so you can spend more time using assets in the workspace to bring your ideas to life.

Some features to highlight are:

ShotGrid integration

• Users can easily send ShotGrid playlists, assets, versions and recordings to Bluescape for a smooth review process

Custom colors and theme-ing

• Get creative with custom colors! Use the color picker to customize pen, canvas, shape, notecard, and text colors
• We also introduced three custom designs: Light, Dark and High Contrast

templates

• Over 200 templates have been added to our template library

More creation tools

• Alignment and layout tools – visual cues, group size, bulk formatting options – the list goes on to improve how you can work with assets in the workspace
• Extract individual pages from slides and PDFs and see them side by side

3. Security successes

Protecting your content and data is of the utmost importance. We’re the safest online whiteboarding tool out there.

Looking back on some certifications and achievements this year:

• Get a perfect score of 100 on the Security Scorecard
• FedRamp Moderate + IL4 audit passed, soon “FedRamp In-Process”
• Official ISO 27001 audit and re-certification (zero deviations)
• Official SOC 2 audit and certification (zero deviations)

4. Bluescape Community

Last month we did Bluescape community to provide real-time communication, collaboration and support to our customers. The community allows users to connect with bluescappers around the world, learn new skills, and share knowledge and experiences.
