Environmentally licensed label for Google resort listings

In July we reported this hotel listing can now add its sustainability and eco certifications to its listings in Google My Business. Well, Google shows the eco-certified green label in the hotel listings in Google search.

Google called “If you search for hotels on Google starting this week, you will see information on their sustainability efforts. Hotels that are certified by certain independent organizations to meet high sustainability standards, such as Green Key or EarthCheck, will receive an eco-certification badge next to their name. ”

Here is a screenshot of it (click to enlarge):

Now, if you want to see more details, click on the listing and go to the “Info” section and scroll down to the “Eco” section:

Here’s a GIF Google shared of it in action:

Even if you have a hotel, you can add these details in Google My Business. Google added, “We are working with hotels around the world, including independent hotels and chains like Hilton and Accor, to collect this information and make it easily accessible. If you are a hotel owner with eco-certification or sustainability practices and would like to share content with travelers, simply log in to Google My Business to add the attributes to your business profile or contact Google My Business support . “
