Google retired the Google My Business API in April 2022

Google will deprecate the Google My Business API on April 30, 2022 and replace it with new APIs in Google’s federated model. Therefore, you will need to update any old APIs you may be using with the new ones within the next few months.

Mike Blumenthal, a local SEO, published the PSA on Twitter with the words “PSA: If you used the GMB API, it will be replaced by a federated, more granular set of APIs, each for a specific function.”

You can see the depreciation schedule over here which shows that all Google My Business APIs will be retired on April 30th. Google said the existing endpoints will be deprecated and eventually phased out. Outdated means the version of the API will continue to work as expected, but may not be updated with new features or bug fixes. However, support will be limited, Google said. The sunset indicates that the version of the API has been removed and is no longer available.
