Google’s John Mueller pays for screaming frog

How’s that for an unpaid endorsement of your SEO product – Google’s John Mueller said he paid for a license to Screaming Frog. He said that Redditwhere someone asked how to convince their boss to apply for that license.

If you didn’t know, the Screaming Frog SEO Spider is a website crawler that will help you improve your SEO on the ground by extracting data and checking for common SEO issues. There are free and paid models of this program, and it is probably one of the most popular software programs that SEOs have in their toolset.

John said, “I’m paying for my own copy, and I don’t even do SEO” when someone asked about it. He added this disclaimer, “I didn’t say you should pay for your own copy, just said it was very useful.”

I think the tool has been around for well over a decade and is operated by Dan Sharp, whom many of you in the SEO industry know.
