Google now permits COVID-19 check kits to be offered at dwelling

Google has updated its Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Policy to now allow COVID-19 test kits for the home to be sold in both paid ads (Google Ads & Shopping) and free listings (in the Merchant Center). Google said that only “test kits approved by the FDA or your local government agency will be approved.”

Google sent in the policy update, writing: “Starting in September, we are easing the restriction of certain products related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) in shopping ads and free listings. Products like clothing, test kits, housewares, etc. that were previously rejected due to the COVID-19 Sensitive Event can now be featured in Shopping Ads and Free Listings. Due to this change, COVID-19 Home Test Kits are now allowed in Shopping Ads and Free Listings. Only test kits that are FDA approved or Your local government agency will be approved. We accept test kits where the sample is taken and analyzed at home, or test kits where the sample is taken at home and then sent to a laboratory for analysis. All products must also meet the specific legal requirements of the Countries in which they are offered. “

I know the US government has made a deal with a number of retailers to sell these kits at cost Walmart for $ 14 the other day, but you can probably find them at Walgreens, CVS, and other retailers both online and in physical stores.

So if you want to promote these products, you can do so on Google now.
