With around 95 million cups of coffee drunk in the UK every day, it’s clearly a firm favourite!
Today, Saturday, October 1 is international coffee – a whole day dedicated to the drink that is guaranteed to kick start your morning.
On average, people drink two cups of coffee a day with 80 per cent of UK households buying instant coffee to enjoy at home.
But what about going out for coffee?
Around 80 per cent of coffee shop goers visit their favourite venue at least once a week.
Earlier this year, in our Best of 2022 competition, we searched for Wirral’s best cafe or coffee shop and Aroma Cafe in Irby took the crown.
Owner Victoria Pyle opened the Thingwall Road business in 2010, ably assisted by her husband and two children, and they make “good coffee with homemade cakes”.
Why not celebrate International Coffee Day and visit Aroma Cafe for a strong cup of coffee and a tasty treat?
Or maybe you’d like to call in for a cup of coffee at one of the town’s other seven shortlisted cafes and coffee shops?
