Outcomes of the Google survey on the core replace from November 2021

Marie Haynes posted a Twitter poll (which I re-shared a couple of times yesterday) asking what you (mostly SEOs) see after five days Core Google update from November 2021. About 50% of respondents said they didn’t see much of this update on the websites they study.

As a reminder, the November 2021 core update was released on November 17 at around 11:00 a.m. ET. We saw a pretty quick change in Google search results within 48 hours of the announcement and posted this on the (and I keep updating it). What we see from the November core update Story I wrote on November 18th.

Here’s Marie’s Twitter poll:

We are 5 days in the November Core Update. What do you see so far?

– Marie Haynes (@Marie_Haynes) November 22, 2021

As you can see it had over 600 votes and the breakdown is (note that the poll is still open for the next 30 minutes if you want to take it):

  • 48% said they hadn’t seen much
  • 21% said they had declined
  • 19% said they saw improvements
  • 11% said otherwise / show results

If you were among the ~ 40% who saw either improvements or decreases, this may have been huge for you. As we showed in ours What we see from the November core update History – those who see change see big changes. Some see a 20 to 90% impact on their organic Google traffic.

I have a story that gets published at 9 a.m. Search engine country today with a great report on what several data providers are showing from this update.

But after all these planks, you’d expect some key results – don’t you think so? Bad Papa SEO Joke?
