Scroll to Textual content for Sitelinks in Google Search

Google now has the scroll-to-text function for sitelinks in Google search results. Google published these with Featured Snippets in 2020 but have tested it since 2018, and it now seems to work for some sitelinks. It’s a topic we’ve covered a lot, just search for it in the search box on this website.

But Google is adding it to the sitelinks, as Brodie Clark said Twitter is new. I made a GIF of this in action after he tweeted it:

Interesting. It looks like you might not need to add jump-to-links in the content for sitelink handling.

Shows for various functions (featured snippets, knowledge panels etc.) that now see scroll-to-text parameters in standard listings.

You know, I use the Chrome feature a lot to Copy link to highlight to guide people with whom I share things exactly into the room. I even do that sometimes with things that I link to from this site – I’m not sure any of you noticed.
