Google November Spam Update Goes After Camouflaged Spam Content material With Hyperlinks Injected?

Last week, Google announced the launch of the Spam update in November, which Google identified as targeted types of content spam. Glenn Gabe said it might have deliberately cloaked content spam with links in that camouflaged content.

Glenn said he spotted at least (maybe more) two websites that saw huge drops in indexing after that spam update was rolled out in November, and they both have the same problem, they both have tons of cloaked content with links on their sites .

Here’s the first example he shared on Twitter:

In addition, a query that returned tens of thousands of spam pages with cloaked links now only returns 1 page (see screenshot). So the Nov Spam Update seems to be working … If you’ve seen a lot of spam links pointing to your site, check them out today. You could be gone. 🙂 pic.twitter.com/vHgkAMDU0H

Here is the second example he shared on Twitter yesterday:

To continue the thread on the November spam update, here is another site that has been deindexed with the exact same spam content with cloaked links. Google is clearly following this (for good reason). The site was launched on 03/11. tanked, was deindexed, 10K + pages now return 0 in the index. pic.twitter.com/OEzmU1aNze

I’m not sure if this means the November spam update was only after cloaked content spam with links or if it was aimed at major issues where those two sample pages were also hit. I’m just not sure.

Have you seen any examples of websites that have been severely affected by this November spam update?
